No one ever desires to get addicted to prescription painkillers. But unknown to many, popping up the first pill is always their first step towards alienating family, having poor performance at work and potential becoming a small time criminal. With the recent indicating an alarming rise in painkiller addiction in the United States, it’s however not clear what really cause addiction to prescription pain pills. Vomiting, nausea and constipation
Cardiac or respiratory arrest
Continued use of the drug is also likely to cause dependency on the drug making the user to take large amounts of it before its effects can be felt in the body.
Sudden discontinuation of the use of prescription painkillers is likely to lead in serious withdrawal symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, sweating, agitation, yawning, restlessness and intense craving for the drug. It is therefore imperative that when one wants to stop the addiction or the dependency, they need to seek the services of health experts and possibly a rehabilitation center where they can get detoxified and assisted in overcoming the addiction.
